work / prayerjournal / elucidation on the kickassness of some lj owners

Yesterday was my first day of work -- an eight hour day (with an hour lunch that I spent 15 minutes eating and 45 minutes staring at nothing, exhausted). When I got home I was so tired that I didn't even want to check my email! I didn't eat dinner either, just napped for two hours on the couch and then got up and went to bed. At least I don't have to work so long anymore -- my schedule is now 5pm-11pm, five random days a week. Unfortunately, that means Ben and I get to see each other for about 1.5 hours on the days we both work, 'cause his schedule is 7am-4pm. But it's just this way until I get my car back, and we will probably have at least three days every week that we actually get to spend time together... What sucks is that this is the time when my FL friends are actually going to be in GA, and arranging to spend time with them is going to be complicated -- which might mean that it won't happen at all, since I don't have a car unless Ben is off work.

Oh yes, in case you didn't see that post, I started a friends-only prayer journal, which I won't be updating as often as this one. You're not allowed to give me advice or argue with me there, 'cause it's just that sensitive, but anybody can add it and I'll add you back if you want to read it. Click the icon to add vividviolet.

And now for the elucidation of the kickassness of:
scourge:
He's an awesome writer, as you can see here. He makes evileve happy, so he's obviously wonderful in person. He may not always comment, but he always comments on the important stuff, and his comments always leave me feeling stronger. From reading his journal, I get the impression that he's very compassionate, and greatly respects noble actions, whether they be profitable or not -- a sure sign of a noble soul. He also takes losses with great courage, from what I can see, and continues to look forward to the future for better times, which I find very admirable.
tequilaprophet:
I'm new to reading this guy, but I've read many of his entries, and I'm blown away by his openness and honesty. He doesn't hide or downplay his feelings; he just expresses things as he feels them, which is very rare in people, and if I may generalize, especially rare in men. He's also very creative and has an interesting style of writing, though I haven't read any of his storywork yet (btw, can I be added to your story filter?). He also has a dry wit and can be very amusing.
genesiskenshin:
This chicka is a RL friend of mine, and she's one of the most loving people I've ever met. She'd do anything for a friend -- except sugarcoat her statements. She's also what some people might call painfully blunt, but I'm cool with that. She's an artist, an idealist, very liberal, and she sees life through azure-colored cara-lenses. She is, simply put, a very generous spirit.
phrankenstyne:
Phrankenstyne's journal consists primarily of his writing, which he kindly puts behind a cut. He's a very skilled writer, and his stories are quite interesting. He doesn't write very much personal stuff, so I don't know him as well as I'd like, but we've had some fun comment-chats about the fantasy genre.
shaybe:
This girl and I have so much in common, and she's just awesome because she never gives up no matter what happens to her. She also has similar views on religion: religion is just what you do, and has nothing to do with beliefs. A relationship with God is a heart matter, and cannot be defined by outside actions (though they usually give you a good clue as to what's going on on the inside). She's open-minded and I'd describe her as effervescent, 'cause she's so cheerful.
anar_anar:
I really admire Tahereh for her honesty and passion about life. She loves living, is very idealistic and not afraid to say so. She doesn't let people get her down with their naysaying, which shows a lot of inner strength. And she's a deep person -- she's been through a lot, and you wouldn't guess from her passion for life, but her life has been difficult and painful. She's just decided to enjoy the good stuff enough to make up for the bad. She's really an inspiration to me, and I'm sure to a lot of others as well.
nikare:
This guy is an RL friend. He's awesome 'cause he's quiet, sarcastic and funny, but not spiteful (unlike most quiet sarcastic people). He's compassionate and trustworthy, and he's especially cool because Ben approves of him, and Ben is very picky about who he's friends with. Of course, that might have to do with the fact that they're both gaming addicts. ;-)

If you want me to do you (in a strictly textual sense), answer yes to this poll.
