guarded by lions

This nearly made me cry with joy. I know there are so many times when God doesn't intervene, but somehow it makes a huge difference to me that he did, even this once. And I wonder, and hope, that maybe it happened partly because of my prayers for all girls to be protected.

Wow, that's so amazing. It could have been because she was crying, but I think it was a miracle. She probably prayed for help and god gave it to her.
belenen ══╣garrulous╠══
that's my feeling on the subject. ;-)
deviant_twinkie ══╣╠══
It's a shame more people don't believe in miracles or the power of prayer.

Everything just has to have a meaning, an explanation or be right in front of their faces.

Whatever happened to faith, and just trusting that maybe it's actually there, even if we can't see it?

People go to bed every night, trusting that they'll wake up in the morning.

If we're not too cynical to go to bed at night, we shouldn't be too cynical to believe that good things do occasionally happen. :)

kevloid ══╣╠══
wow - that's wild. :-)

I can't help but wonder what would've happened if they hadn't found her so soon. it almost seems like the had lions adopted her.
kevloid ══╣╠══
ha! :-) I'm typing dyslexic today. :-p
belenen ══╣garrulous╠══
Yeah. Adopted by lions -- that'd be an awesome life story.
lorelei_sakti ══╣╠══
My mom told me about that--she read it in the newspaper. It still amazes me. How the lions knew that those men were bad, and how they just walked away when people came to rescue the girl--it's amazing. The lions could have thought that the girl was a lion cub since she was whimpering, but then why would they abandon her when her human rescuers came? It's so bizarre. It reminds me of Aslan the lion from Narnia...
belenen ══╣ethereal╠══
Exactly! The idea that they thought she was a lion cub is silly -- but I suppose they had to come up with SOME explanation besides God.

Ohh, I hadn't even thought about the Aslan thing, very interesting...
_bijou ══╣╠══
Wow.

That nearly made me cry as well.

Thank you so much for sharing.

I emphatically agree. ;-)
chillychilly22 ══╣╠══
My friend showed me that a while ago and I love how they try to rationalize what happened. There's no other explanation except God.
belenen ══╣garrulous╠══
I totally agree with you.

what an amazing story - wow
belenen ══╣garrulous╠══
It really is. ;-)
