sylvia plath

I'm so awesome.
"I should have loved a thunderbird instead;
At least when spring comes they roar back again.
I shut my eyes and all the world drops dead."

I'm going to start actually reading sylvia plath.... all I've read by her is this poem and a short story.

Which poem are you?
The Mad Girl's Love Song by Sylvia Plath

To you, love is desperate and hateful. You're wildly passionate and wildly inventive. You're also likely to start stalking people.

I've never stalked anyone, though (come to think of it) I probably would have if I lived near Elijah Wood during the three years I was obsessed with him.

actually I live in less than 30 minutes from Marietta. I used to live off of whitlock avenue/ dallas hwy, but moved when I got married. Did you ever go to Insomnia? That was the most awesome independently-owned coffeeshop, but they had to close cause they didn't make enough to pay the exorbiant rent. They had live music all the time, karaoke, trivia, poetry night....... it was awesome. If I suddenly got rich, I'd hunt that woman down and give her the money to run it again.

wait, what? holy hell, I didn't even realize you were in Georgia! Where do you live now? Ayy, I live very far from whitlock/dallas hwy, but I know where that is...I live in East Cobb...please, no comments, I'm not like them, I swear, ha. ermmm... You know where Johnson's Ferry and Sewell Mill are ? Or Johnson's Ferry and Roswell? Yes, there abouts I do reside. and Insomnia...indeed, I used to go, but it was a bit of a drive for me...I've not been in forever though, I didn't even realize it was closed. Ah, I go to Apres Diem a lot now... eh, too much actually...have you ever been there? You'd love it, it's really cool, right off 10th Street and Monroe...

Apres Diem? Is that a coffeehouse? What are the hours? Do you know the address? (for mapquest, I'm not very familiar with anything on the east side of 120 loop) I've been dying for a place with ambiance since Insomnia closed!

the second one, not the first :) apres diem, if you take 75 South to the 10th/14th street exit, head straight through the first light, then a left at the second onto 10th Street. Follow 10th Street until it dead ends into Monroe (you'll see Piedmont Park on your left). Make a right onto Monroe and I think it's the second traffic light make a left... you'll see a Save Rite next to the shopping center you're turning into...follow it towards the back and park. Walk up and you'll see the Midtown Art Cinema (which plays great films by the way, check that out as well), when you get to the ticket counter for the Cinema you will see Apres right in front of you :) It's so nice, there is outside seating and the inside seating is so comfy...ah I don't know if you smoke or not, but either way, sit in the smoking section...sadly it's much nicer. There are lots of really nice paintings they swap out each month in the smoking section...and it's full of very comfy sofas...the non smoking section looks like...eh...a normal cafe, hehe. But the atmosphere is really great...paintings, saris, etc. etc. You'd love it...okay, this is way too long of a response but yeah, the hours and menus are on the website... go!! Ha, I'm there about every single night, hehehe.
