a curvy girl story

Eve, 'Kenzie, and Danielle, I need your snailmail address! (unless you aren't comfortable with that, of course) And wandrlost, you ROCK for going through and taking all of my favorite polls. ;-)

A little story I commented to someone that I didn't want to forget (from when I was a cashier at Walmart):

I hate seeing perfectly healthy curvy women buying slim-fast and fashion magazines. One time a curvy girl came in my line, and she had one of the loveliest bodies I've ever seen, yet she was buying some diet pills. I couldn't help myself, I asked her, "You aren't trying to lose weight, are you?" She laughed a little self-consciously and said, "yes, always... why do you ask?" and I said, "because you look gorgeous the way you are! You certainly don't need to lose any weight." She shyly said thanks. Then the two guys she was with came over and I gave her the receipt and they left... and I was a little worried that she might think I was hitting on her, but DAMN I can't STAND the idea of her thinking she was anything less than beautiful. Afterward I was glad I did. I hope it made a difference to her.

P.S. like the new icon? That's a professional bellydancer's belly.

You don't enjoy food "too much."

I want it put on the official record that I eat way more than Danielle (and have the cholesterol to prove it, heh) so no talk about over-enjoying food. Food exists for joy!

And I never feel the need to add a "but" or "if" whenever I think how beautiful you are, Danielle. :-)

And (in vague support of the heavy guy/skinny girl idea), look at Robert. :-P

I'm not anti heavy guy/skinny girl...or heavy girl/skinny guy...or heavy/heavy..etc..I just hate when a heavier man sticks his nose up to heavier girls...you know?

I definately understand. Personally, I think (and this is in general of course) that women tend to be more superficial than men in every aspect but one - the skinniness of their partner. One guy I know has the standing motto for his girlfriends that "they can be ugly in the face so long as they're skinny in the waist." Which truly amazes (and sickens) me. But men look for figure more than women - they want the tiny waist/big boobs/perfect ass combo that approximately .000009% of the female population is actually endowed with.
