The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reason for existing - Einstein

I've seen this meme around but thought it didn't apply to me. Suddenly I realized it might! *giggles* So...

If there is anything you've ever wondered about me, please ask. Big or small, I promise to answer honestly. And there are no stupid questions. Even if you ask my favorite color, I won't get upset with you for not knowing :D

I'll also try to respond quickly! I'm trying to get better at that. Comments screened but will be unscreened unless you ask for them to stay screened.

What is your favourite word?

belenen ══╣bluestocking╠══
I could no more choose a favorite star in the heavens! ;-) But some that I really love are: shimmer, scintillating, liquescent, crystalline, nascent (that's probably my current favorite), connate, osculant, exuviate, iconoclast, quintessential, blossom, glisten, glimmer, effervescent, ululation, voluptuous, flourishing.

Who or what got you interested in artistic nudity? Have you always been interested or is it a recent development? Have you ever had trouble with body image?

Okay, technically three questions...I'm a curious person. :P
curvygirl -- me (nude)
belenen ══╣curvygirl -- me (nude)╠══
I think my uncle (who is a photographer) initially got me interested in it, when I was about 19. Since then I've modeled for a handful of photographers, but I haven't done much in the past few years because my shape is not fashionable, so there isn't as much interest from photographers (also I just haven't tried much, been more interested in being behind the lens). I used to have a LOT of trouble with body image -- modeling actually helped me a lot with that because it helped me see my body as a work of art, and helped me remove shame which was part of the reason I hated my body. About 2 years after I started modeling I created curvygirls, which helped me complete my journey to full body-love.

curiosity is good! :D

Do you have a job (or a profession even if you don't prctice)?

It's a bit hard to imagine what you do since most jobs tend to be so mundane...lol!
belenen ══╣analytical╠══
not right now, no. I really want to be a counselor, and I'm thinking about going back to school in the fall. It's still up in the air right now, and I'm still undecided as to whether to go the normal route or do a faith-based counseling course. I'd want the secular classes anyway though.

and haha, I agree! :D

This is kind of a mundane question, but I was honestly wondering this the other day-- if applicable, what do you personally do for income?

P.S. Thank you for the message, got the info! :D You'll have something comin' your way after I go to the post office tomorrow. ♥
belenen ══╣effervescent╠══
for income, not much! I sell a little jewelry but I don't have a steady income at the moment. We just recently got a second car so if I want I can get one now. I haven't decided whether I'm going to yet -- if I do it will probably be after my trip to visit Hannah.

yay! :D

What do you think makes a person creative?
belenen ══╣creative╠══
hm. Creator! I think we are all creative. I think that's the image of God/dess in us. Out of fear, many people suppress the creative urge, but I think it is our primary desire as human beings -- to create. I see creativity as the same force as love.

confusing enough? hee hee

I am curious about what kind of voice you have! I often have dreams about online friends I have not yet met, and my brain randomly picks voices. I often wonder at the accuracy.
(my mind decided you had a rich voice - like a cello, only with a little quiet huskiness added in. If that description even makes sense...

Well, someday I will meet you and find out! :)
belenen ══╣eccentric╠══
ohh how cool! I would love if that description matches me. I have a videoblog here: http://belenen.livejournal.com/328383.html -- my voice isn't quite natural in it because I was a little nervous, but after the first minute or so it's pretty much normal. :D
jendaby ══╣╠══
I just watched! What fun! I can definitely hear aspects of what I imagined in your voice! It was extremely cool to get to see you talk and see your mannerisms and expressions! you have a nice laugh and are very pretty in your glasses! :)

The best books you've ever read: go!
belenen ══╣bluestocking╠══
haha! as if that is some kind of EASY QUESTION! hmm.

The Bible -- I've read it a few times all the way through, and chunks of it many times, and I still get new things out of it. The language annoys me though -- I desperately want a copy of the Inclusive Bible.

I may have missed some... this is a really hard question!
frecklestars ══╣╠══
Can I just say that I giggled that the bible and the lesbian america book were listed one after the other?

But anyways...I can't believe you've read "Biting the Sun"!! I've never met anybody who's even heard of Tanith Lee. She's awesome. Did you ever read her unicorn series books (Black Unicorn, Gold Unicorn, Red Unicorn)? I'm reading Gold Unicorn aloud to my boyfriend at the moment; he really likes her stuff. It kind of surprised me.

Clearly I'm going to have some books to sample, once I get done with all the other books on my list. :P Since getting my e-book reader, I've had a list that's steadily growing. I think I've got 50 books in line right now, and adding more every day. ha No idea when I'll actually read them all.
belenen ══╣bluestocking╠══
haha, yeah, I found that amusing as I was putting the list together. Not what one might expect!

I LOVE BITING THE SUN! it is my absolute favorite of all favorites, I've no idea how many times I have read it. I love it so much. If the main char wasn't unnamed I would totally name myself after her. (I didn't realize until after finishing it that she was unnamed!!!) And yep, have read and own the unicorn series :D I love her more imaginative stuff (not fond of the horror/vampire stuff). Have you read Dark Castle, White Horse? I looooove that, wildly imaginative.

yeah me too except I keep on going to used book stores and adding to my 'to be read' shelves! *is greedy*
frecklestars ══╣╠══
Goddess, I had the same thing too: that I didn't realize she didn't have a name. It was really cool to figure that out though; have never read a book like that. Very interesting.

I haven't read that one. I find that her books are a little hard to get a hold of. I think the Silver Metal Lover is on my current book-waitlist, but that could take a long time. hehe

Since I bought my e-book reader, I'm trying to buy fewer paper copies of books. But some only come in paper still. *sad*
phydeau ══╣╠══
Since I'm trying to get into photography (some of which will be nude), I'm curious to know what it's like to work with photographers. How did they approach you, how comfortable were you, do you wish something was different, that kind of stuff. Ok, that's not a specific question. I just don't want to creep out or disappoint my models.

Related question: Do you have a favorite picture of yourself? If so, why?
belenen ══╣selfportraiture╠══
not sure what you're asking but here are the tips I'd give:
1) encourage them to bring along a friend so they'll feel more comfortable
2) if it is their first time, have them start out in a robe or draped fabric and ease into nudity.
3) never touch! if you want them to move a certain way, pose in that way and have them copy you. Even a touch on the arm can seem intrusive if you're naked and the other person isn't.
4) music helps! encourage them to bring some of their favorite music to listen to during the shoot.
5) don't give negative feedback. Always phrase in a positive light -- i.e. "a bit softer expression, please" not "your expression is too harsh." And for me, I can't stand when a photographer tells me to pose in such a way as to hide a 'flaw,' but I don't think that you believe in flaws so you're good there. ;-)

My favorite photo is always changing, because it is usually one of the most recent. After a few months, I feel like I'm not really that person anymore and so I like newer photos better. But I vastly prefer outdoor photos to studio or indoor ones, because they seem more natural and I feel more me. I like nudes best but I like make-up-ed and make-up-less photos equally -- one for expressiveness, the other for naturalness.
