ahh, all of them are so beautiful. this was so tough!
belenen ══╣adoring╠══
thank you lovey!
phoenixdreaming ══╣╠══
I don't have pierced ears and don't plan to get them pierced (because, for some reason, the idea of having holes in my earlobes bothers me), but I enjoyed looking through these. Loveliness. I don't know what other people will think of your creations, so I picked my own favourites in the last question.
belenen ══╣curious╠══
how do you feel about clip-ons? ;-)

(and thank you!)
phoenixdreaming ══╣╠══
It's been years since I've tried clip-ons, so I'm not sure! I do get cranky at anything constricting/pressing on me, though, so I'd likely give up on them within an hour or so.

(I made jewellery for a little while, little beginnery things of wire. I'd never wear them for long, but I made them. I mentioned this to a college classmate as my 'random thing about you' that our lecturer had asked us to tell someone else. She repeated it, and added 'and the strange thing is that she's a jewellery maker who's not wearing any jewellery!')

ladywind ══╣Skin Deep╠══
You're not alone in that! I twiddle together wire and stone to make shinythings on a regular basis, but I wear four articles of jewelery regularly: two rings, one earring, and a necklace. More comes and goes, but never stays very long.
queerbychoice ══╣╠══
Same here. Also, in my experience, clip-ons hurt like HELL.

The "other" place I get my earrings from is anywhere my husband decides to shop, which can be anything from cheap stuff online to a nice pair of earrings from Jared's. After reading up on jewelry making, I see how easy and cheap it is to make your own, so I've told him not to spend any significant amount of money on earrings anymore. Also, I have a couple of nice pairs already, so at this point I wouldn't even be making any.

I typically like simple earrings. Your earrings are lovely, but probably far too fancy for me. I did like the infinity orbs though. :)

Your designs are really lovely. If I ever get some time, I've half a mind to take some inspiration from them and make a pair of earrings myself (and call them "the belenen"). :D

Sorry I'm not more help on guessing which designs might appeal to the widest crowd though; I always felt like my jewelry tastes were pretty different from the norm. But who knows.

Also (edit): it is good to see you back. Hope you're doing all right. And I am very grateful for your response to my post a day or so ago.

such beautiful creations!

I really adore the berries n charm set. I especially love the goddess charm. I may have to order some when I get my tax money.
moonvoice ══╣╠══
I can't wear earrings, but I voted on the designs I liked and *would* buy in theory if I could. Your jewellery is beautiful!
aerialmelodies ══╣Blossoms╠══
Gorgeous creations! :)

I didn't vote at the end because I don't feel as though I can really say what someone else would or wouldn't like. I'd like to think that all of your pieces would find loving homes. <3
i_come_undone ══╣╠══
Oh...oh! I had no idea you made such beautiful, magical jewelry. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE that you donate half the proceeds to charity...oh, these are gorgeous. I now must save some money so I can buy...

Clarification, just 'cause I'm anal like that:

I usually wear studs in my extra two holes in my right ear, unless I'm subbing them out for a particular set/outfit/whatever. Those holes close up too easily, so I need to keep something in them. Normally these diamond studs my mother got me, which is odd since I really don't like diamonds, but they're white gold screw-backs, so they can't fall out, which is important since I lose earrings a lot.

I like longer earrings, but can't wear anything too heavy because my ears are pierced really low (because of my weird left earlobe). I'm at a higher risk of having them ripped out, so I can't have anything that pulls too much on the tiny bit of lobe keeping them in place.

Also, I obviously don't make all my own, but I used to do some, and have been trying to do a bit more semi-recently (uh...though not for a few months, because I have no time). I made this set, this set (which is sort of hard to see, but I don't take many photos of my jewelry) and these and one other pair for Nisha, since she visited me during her birthday. Some others too, but those are the only ones I have photos of.

I really think dangly earrings that are largely chain with some sort of bead/stone at the bottom are usually better than all-beaded ones, just because I think something a bit more minimalist works best for me, considering how long and dangly I like my earrings. I have essentially no hair or anything around my ears, so earrings with too much going on look fairly stupid on me.

Also, I tend to favor artistic glass or natural stones for jewelry. (The ones I made for Nisha were coral, that one set of mine was I think white jasper and snowflake obsidian, and the other was mother-of-pearl.)

Ha. How's that for more information than you needed? :-P

Gorgeous work!! I have gauged ears so I generally wear my dark wooden ear plugs, but I love wearing dangly earrings in the same hole as well. Best of both worlds, I think. :)

My absolute fave is the tri simplicity, but then, i´m a total sucker for rainbows!!
xochitl ══╣tattooed╠══
I only wear plugs, but I think ALL of your jewelry is equally beautiful! If I was a dangly-earring sorta gal I would be in love!! :D
writer_lilies ══╣╠══
I am the reigning earring queen in my family. I like 'em big and dangly.
suesniffsglue ══╣╠══
I wear plugs in my ears, or big wooden dangly ones that actually fit, so I can't wear any of your earrings but I think they're beautiful and wish I could find something like them to fit in my ears! I am in love with the tri simplicity ones; they're just gorgeous.

I'm wary of anything too big or long hanging from my ears, but your gorgeous designs makes me wish I wasn't. For the last question, I went with styles that seem similar to ones I've seen worn or being sold locally.
sidheblessed ══╣╠══
Berries n Charm are far and away my favourite.
kiwi ══╣Lampwork╠══
I should probably clarify my answers, because they make more sense this way than they do in a poll (tis the nature of me):

I generally stick to the diamond studs that were gifted to me by my beloved, partially because at 5am it's next to impossible to feel creative about your jewelry, and partially because with my job, it's next to impossible to feel creative, period. (And we need to limit the dangly earrings on some days, depends on the type of patients we're having - if I'm doing a lot of heavy lifting, I want studs, believe me. Getting chandeliers tangled on someone else and then pulling away is all sorts of pain.)

On the other side, I wear a lot of my own stuff. I rarely buy earrings for myself - every pair I own was given to me or made by me. I don't like the idea of buying earrings in a boutique...I don't think that makes much sense. But that's personal opinion.

Does that make sense?
jendaby ══╣╠══
Those are beautiful, Bel! :) You are incredibly talented! The reason I don't wear really long earrings is just because my children are still young and are always pulling on my jewelry. I marked other for where I get my jewelry - that which I have not made has been given to me as a gift - and I do wear things that others have given me - I have a necklace that my youngest sister-in-law gave me, and I wear it quite often.
camilleyun ══╣╠══
When I get my act together I'm totally going to commission a custom piece from you. I love your work!

I have different earrings but the ones I wear the most are ones I put in and don't take out for weeks. They're all 14k gold small dangles with a lever back. I have a diamond and gold pair that looks like a medieval cross almost, a round garnet pair, and a round pink ruby pair. Mostly I wear those so much since I can leave them in and forget about them.

I have these cute monkey earrings I bought at Claire's and after wearing them overnight because I forgot they were in my ear my lobes started hurting because they weren't gold. I'm not allergic or sensitive to metals but I can't keep them in overnight otherwise I do start to have a bit of a reaction.
