yes, I voted for Bush... and I'm happy that he won...

And my whole friends' page is upset that he was elected; it's not my fault, you guys cancelled me out by like 28 votes. ;-) And a lot of you are talking about having friends who are threatening to move to Canada. That pisses me off. Even if Kerry was elected I wouldn't be threatening to move to Canada; I know how good I've got it here in America. Talk about ungrateful. This is the best country in the world -- and I'd still be saying that if Kerry was elected. So tell your friends to quit their whining and go try out another country if they can't be thankful for the freedom they've got.

Why did I vote for Bush? For the reasons of the economy and security (btw, regardless of party, the economy always does well in the second term of a president), but mainly because I believe he's fundamentally honest, and I will support an honest person over a blurry one in any situation. Honesty is very very important to me. And he obviously has a relationship with God, yet he's loose enough to flip a bird -- I just plain like him for that. He's not one of those stiff fundamentalists. So yeah, I'll admit it, the main reason I voted for Bush is because I simply like and respect him.

Oh yeah, and that is setting a good example for children, and he says he is for families. He just proved you wrong. Presidents are held to a sticter code of scruples.

Oh and how can you respect someone who discriminates and hates so much? You never used to.
tinystages ══╣╠══
um how can you say he hates so much? just because someone doesn't agree with someone else's lifestyle, doesn't make them a hater. if that was true, nearly all the gays would have to be haters since they don't agree with the heterosexual lifestyle.

john kerry flips people off too, so how is he any better? i'm sure you flip people off as well. people who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.
genesiskenshin ══╣╠══
Homosexuals do not hate the heterosexual lifestyle by no means. Part of the reason they want to marry is to emulate it. In case you haven't been paying attention. I suggest you look back on the past year with fight for gay rights.

I am sure he does, and he shouldn't either. I do, I shouldn't but I do. Bu I certainly don't do it on a clip that could be viewed by kids, I don't do it around kids. As President, he needs to think about what he does, he obviously is not doing that.
belenen ══╣antagonistic╠══
look Cara, that clip was not on national TV, not in the views of children (except maybe unsupervised children, which is the fault of the parents) -- and he didn't know tape was running! Your argument fails.
genesiskenshin ══╣╠══
And you are saying kids aren't smart enough to download something and parents aren't dumb enough to download something that is inappropriate. If anything your argument is failing.
tinystages ══╣╠══
according to law, if you are under 13 and are on the internet, your parents can go to jail. why don't you just drop it? you are upset bush has won, but there's not a thing you can do about it. getting upset isn't going to change the outcome.
genesiskenshin ══╣╠══
Yeah, and that is really enforced, uh huh, right. Anyway, Bush has not won, until those three states have reported there is no winner. I am just pointin out the obvious, but apparently it isn't obvious to you.
tinystages ══╣╠══
no it is obvious. kerry conceeded, the election goes to bush. he has too many more votes for the rest of the votes to do kerry any good. kerry has already said that it's over, why can't you give up fighting for a lost thing?
genesiskenshin ══╣╠══
Because, CNN only projects a winner on election night. And apparently it is has been carried over to today. Look at the pictures, it says CNN's projected winner, right hand corner of the US map.
tinystages ══╣╠══
dude, you're so blind i am not even going to bother talking to you anymore. you're only seeing half of what is posted. goodbye and good riddance.
tinystages ══╣╠══
And that is your opinion.
amazedcreation ══╣keys╠══
How many homosexuals do you know? You are right though, homosexuals don't hate heterosexuals, just like I don't hate homosexuals... but homosexuals seem only to shove their sexuality into people's faces. Not that they expect everyone to become homosexual, but they are not kind to people who disagree with their lifestyle. Oddly, homosexuals become rudely defensive when a heterosexual disagrees with the act of homosexuality. Odd don't you think? They are supposed to be the people lovers and open minded yet they become next to violently defensive at the hint of disagreement with their "lifestyle".

Also, I have a major life question for you. How do you know who is and who isn't watching you and what sort of influence you are being on anyone at any moment regardless if you see children around or not. Saying someone should not flip someone off when you yourself flip people off is very much pointing out a speck in someone else's eye when you have an entire plank of plywood in your own eye. You are always being watched by someone who is impressionable - and you never know who is looking to you with respect. We all live our lives inside a fishbowl with people watching to see how we react... just a thought.
genesiskenshin ══╣╠══
I know a great deal many actually. I am part of the GLSA at school. I was part of it at GA State. I am bisexual. I have yet to shove my sexuality into anyone's face and I know the people that I know are the same way. There are always a few in every lifestyle, homosexual or heterosexual, that will be rude and defensive. But frankly if your gay couples marrying somehow interferes with your marriage, you never had a marriage to begin with.

You might want to read this article. It is a student article, but it makes several good points.

I try not to flick peole off but sometimes it is not possible. I just do not do it when kids are around. THey shouldn't learn it until they are older, considering they will learn it. Either way, Bush is held to higher standard than I. He is the president and should not act that way. He is supposed to be a leader he isn't showing it too well. I am not a leader of anything right now and don't want to be.
amazedcreation ══╣╠══
If you weren't shoving your sexuality in my face, why'd you have to tell me your orientation? I haven't told you anything concerning my sexuality. And I don't need to, because it doesn't define me. And it shouldn't.

And yes, it is possible to have self-restraint and not flip people off. And once again, how do you honestly know there are absolutely no children around? And what do you consider a child? Regardless, you cannot tell someone to not to do something that is "wrong" if you yourself do it! (I hope you see that) I wish for you enough self-respect to hold yourself to a higher standard. Bush, and Kerry for that matter, are just as human as you and I. (I know you know that). Yes, they are leaders, however, we are also able to live to a higher standard!
genesiskenshin ══╣╠══
He hasn't won yet. Watch the news. He needs 270 electoral votes to win. Neither him nor Kerry has that yet, which means there isn't a winner yet. All eyes are on Ohio. But they are saying it is too close to tell.
belenen ══╣antagonistic╠══
I've done better than that. I listened to the radio -- Kerry has conceded, and at any rate it's nearly impossible for him to win Ohio.

"The Bush margin of victory in Ohio is 145,000 votes. The largest number I've heard for Ohio provisional ballots is 250,000. The actual figure is probably around 175,000, but we're going to play with the 250,000 number just to fudge for Kerry.

So ... 250,000 provisional ballots. In the last Ohio election 90% of all provisional ballots were allowed. So we'll go with that figure and say that 225,000 of these ballots will be allowed. How many of these votes will be for Kerry? Past experience in Ohio shows that the provisional ballots generally run pretty close to the percentages in the general vote. But .... again let' s fudge for Kerry. Let's add 5% to his vote total of 48%. We'll say that 53% of the provisional ballots that will be counted were votes for John Kerry. That would give Kerry 119,250 additional votes, and still make him about 25,000 votes short.

Back to that 90% figure .. .the 90% of provisional ballots that were counted in the last Ohio election. Since that time the restrictions on just which provisional ballots will count have been tightened. These new rules make that 90% total highly improbable --- making a Kerry victory in Ohio a pipe dream." -- taken from boortz.com
genesiskenshin ══╣╠══
Mind you, I posted that about 5 seconds before CNN got wind of the concede, but Bush still has not won yet. He does NOT have 270 electoral votes yet. I am sure that this will be drawn out for at least a week.
belenen ══╣antagonistic╠══
You don't know what you're talking about.
sciethen ══╣╠══

I was praying hard against the poodle. I'm very grateful The President has won. If I was in The President's position, I would NOT have said that Kerry was an honorable oponent. His antics are disgusting. And the mainstream media has been absolutely despicable and terribly biased in the end to elect another democractic president. I may not be a republican, but there is no way I would give up a truly honorable, noble man such as Bush. I am already looking forward to bypassing two decades and looking into my highschool children's books, to see what they say about President Bush. In history, some of the greatest presidents have been ridiculed to death during Presidency, then history took its toll and everybody realized just what he did. It is amazing how the media has depicted our President, especially in a time of war. Truly amazing. Even the most libertarian person on earth can do the research and find who is more honorable. It's terribly easy with the World Wide Web. But too many people can't get around the idea that "their friends are voting this way, so I must too." And "I hate the President because all these facts I have seen." They do not even bother looking into the TRUTH! HOW many times have they been told "don't always believe what you see?" Not enough, apparently. The media is just a joke. An absolute joke.

Perhaps a more comprehensive, clear view of mine will be posted at a later date. But I'm on my lunch break now, and can't say more. I have been praying for Bush though, and I truly want to set up a website to display the truth of everything the media says. Jeesh, it's incredible. And the things Kerry's campaign sent out! A highly accurate paraphrase: "If there are no signs of voter intimidation, just say there is because there will be." That is a paraphrase of a memo sent by the Poodle Campaign to all of his poling affiliates. Disgusting!

Ah but what can you say. The President will continue to lead the US, and I am even more grateful for the intelligent voters. Oh, and I think we need to have a 100% pass test of 3 questions randomly generated at each poll before someone can vote. Like: "Who is the current Georgia Senator/Representative/etc/etc/etc...." This way only intelligent people who actually KNOW what is going on, can vote.
belenen ══╣garrulous╠══
yep yep. Libertarian all the way.
genesiskenshin ══╣╠══
you are just being Bitch, becuase there is a chance Bush will lose, not a big one, a very slim one. He does not at the moment have enough votes, neither one of them does.

Bush-254 electoral votes
Kerry-252 electoral votes

3 states have not reported. Yes, they are leaning towards Bush, but that can change in a split second. IT has been proven. New Hampshire, this election, was leaning toward Bush, last second it was Kerrys'. Iowa, was leaning toward Kerry, in this election, now it is Bush. It is still up in the air, whether Kerry concedes or not. Because 3 states have not reported.
tinystages ══╣╠══
Insulting people invalidates what you believe. It makes you wrong as well.
genesiskenshin ══╣╠══
He has 2 more than Kerry at the moment. I say lets wait until all states report and then you can clebrate. Right now. It is still in the air.

my sentiments exactly.

So tell your friends to quit their whining and go try out another country if they can't be thankful for the freedom they've got.

You said that you love America, but you go against the foundation of America, those whiners have the FREEDOM to say anything they want about this country with out being exhiled or persecuted, and that's what makes America great.

WOW. Wow, wow, wow. Hard core liberals say anything. Incredible. Especially college students with all the peer pressure. Even when they are alone, they back themselves up in denial or self deception. Amazes me to no end.
anar_anar ══╣╠══
Both the liberal and conservative bashing/hatred/immaturity in these comments is disgusting. I don't even feel like sharing my beliefs. Goodness.
